Hoya bella – Miniature Elegance in Bloom 🤍🌿
Hoya bella is a dainty, trailing Hoya species with slender, pointed green leaves and clusters of star-shaped white and pink flowers that have a sweet, light fragrance. Its elegant, arching stems and compact leaves make it ideal for hanging pots, shelves, or terrariums. A true classic for Hoya collectors.
Key Features:
✔ Neat, miniature foliage on cascading stems
✔ Produces scented waxy flowers in clusters
✔ Naturally compact – perfect for small spaces or hanging pots
✔ Drought-tolerant and low maintenance
✔ Flowers more readily than many other Hoyas when well cared for
Care Instructions:
-
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light – some morning sun is ideal for flowering
-
Watering: Water when the top half of soil is dry – avoid waterlogged roots
-
Humidity: Enjoys moderate humidity – mist lightly if the air is dry
-
Soil: Use a light, airy mix – orchid bark, perlite, and peat or coco coir
-
Feeding: Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring/summer with a balanced or bloom-boosting fertiliser
-
Temperature: Thrives in 18–26°C – protect from cold or draughts
🌿 Tip: Let it become slightly rootbound and give it bright light to encourage flowering. Avoid disturbing the long stems too much when they start to bud.
