Hanging Hoya – Pink Variegation (Hoya carnosa ‘Tricolor’) 🌿💗
Hoya Pink Variegation is a stunning trailing houseplant with waxy green leaves beautifully splashed with cream and soft pink tones. Often called Hoya ‘Tricolor’ or ‘Krimson Queen’, this variety is perfect for hanging planters, where its colourful vines can cascade and thrive with minimal care.
Key Features:
✔ Variegated foliage in green, white, and pink
✔ Produces clusters of sweet-scented, star-shaped flowers in warm months
✔ Ideal for hanging baskets, macramé hangers, or trailing shelves
✔ Drought-tolerant and easy to grow indoors
✔ Long-living and perfect for bright, modern spaces
Care Instructions:
-
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light – more light brings out stronger variegation
-
Watering: Water when the top 2–3cm of soil feels dry – never let it sit in soggy soil
-
Humidity: Adapts well to normal humidity but benefits from occasional misting
-
Soil: Use a well-draining mix (cactus soil or orchid bark + perlite)
-
Feeding: Feed every 4–6 weeks in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertiliser
-
Temperature: Prefers warmth – keep above 15°C and away from drafts
-
Growth: Slow to moderate grower – vines can be trimmed to encourage fullness
🌿 Tip: Once mature, this Hoya may bloom – don’t remove spent flower stalks, as it often reblooms from the same spot.
