Crassula arborescens – Ripple Jade 🌿💧✨
The Crassula, commonly known as the Ripple Jade or Curly Jade Plant, is a charming succulent prized for its thick, wavy-edged blue-green leaves with a silvery sheen. Compact and sculptural, this slow-growing beauty adds texture and interest to any succulent collection or minimalist décor.
Key Features:
✔ Distinctive rippled, paddle-shaped leaves with a powdery blue-green tone
✔ Compact, branching growth – perfect for windowsills or small planters
✔ Drought-tolerant and extremely low-maintenance
✔ Produces clusters of small, star-shaped white to pink flowers in ideal conditions
✔ Excellent as a statement succulent or part of a mixed display
Care Instructions:
Light: Prefers bright light or full sun for several hours daily to maintain its compact shape and colour
Watering: Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings – ideal for neglectful waterers
Humidity: Tolerates dry indoor air perfectly; no misting required
Soil: Use a free-draining cactus or succulent mix
Feeding: Fertilise lightly once a month in spring and summer with a cactus feed
Temperature: Best kept between 18–27°C; protect from frost and cold drafts
Growth: Reaches 30–60 cm tall when mature
🌿 Tip: For best colour and leaf shape, give your Ripple Jade plenty of bright light and rotate it occasionally for even sun exposure.
